Kacířův Kancionál
An augmented reality (AR) application breathing life into a physical book through hidden audiovisual content.
Technologically fuse the dark mysticism of a printed book with a mobile app, ensuring the AR layer deepens the experience and reacts reliably to specific illustrations without breaking the reading ritual.

I translated the supplied design into an AR mobile application built with Unity and Vuforia, defining the architecture and interaction mechanics around responsive image tracking. I also prepared the video content and delivered the application for both iOS and Android under the partner’s name.
Technical ownership under a partner-agency umbrella: application architecture, interaction mechanics, Unity/C# programming, video editing, asset optimization, testing and deployment to the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android.
Two-person delivery team: Václav Štrobl as the primary developer and a project manager who arranged the engagement; the client supplied the design and approvals.
- Repeated approval rounds were required because parts of the philosophical and audiovisual content sat close to platform acceptability boundaries during store deployment.
- Vuforia image recognition had to remain reliable across printed illustrations, changing light conditions and different viewing angles.
